Andalucia 2015: In the picturesque mountain village Cútar, north of Malaga, we will spend five days exploring
the combination of Meditation and Movement.
We will work with exercises which combine meditation, mindfulness and movement. The movement work will be based on play and improvisation – by listening to ourselves we learn to be more daring and trust our own impulses. Likewise, through meditation we can discover an openness from which we can act and create freshly. In combining movement with meditation we join mind and body which brings us vividly into the present moment.
The meditation technique we will be practicing is a traditional Buddhist training in Mindfulness/awareness. It is
a practice in slowing down and paying attention to what goes on both within and around us. Through meditation and movement we can learn to rest in simplicity and be more awake and present in our every-day lives.
This course is open to anyone who is interested – no prior experience is necessary!
